I am in the Army, and have traveled a lot in the last 10 years. I have lived in Minnesota, Virginia and Hawaii, and visited many other states and traveled to Germany, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. These "missions" have given me the opportunity to try many different cuisines.
My favorite things to cook
I love stir-fry's, anything with broccoli and asparagus, cakes, and breakfast pastries.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make spaghetti with my girls. I don't measure any spices for the sauce and the girls love just dumping stuff in the pot. I do have to keep close watch- one time my oldest decided to pour in the salt when I had my back turned....
My cooking triumphs
The teddy bear cake I made for my daughter's 5th birthday.
My cooking tragedies
Probably the over-salted spaghetti sauce.... :)
The first time I ever made chicken kiev for my new husband and some friends, I undercooked the chicken! My friends thought I was trying to kill them with salmonella. They still give me grief about it, 8 years later.
