I am an adjudicated youth case manager but a restauranteur and chef at heart. I just wish I had a bigger kitchen and more time to devote to my favorite hobby which is cooking.
My favorite things to cook
The only things I am not crazy about cooking are Asian dishes. I am not great with stir-fry.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I came from a meat and potatoes farming family. The creativity didn't start until my sister and I whipped out some cookbooks and started trying new things.
My cooking triumphs
A 12 layer torte, a beautiful wedding cake, my own chili, etc.
My cooking tragedies
I HATE it that my stainless steel stock pot is made out of less than 18 guage steel. It makes scorching beans a probability every time. I have to save up the money for a good stock pot. Nothing worse than a ruined batch of chili because of scorched beans.....pheeww!
