Cinnamon Griddle Cakes
I give this recipe 4 stars because I felt like the batter was too "thick". It wasn't thin light other batter. You had to just dump it on the skillet. Something just wasn't right about it. My girls and husband did like the frosting instead of the syrup. I will keep the frosting idea but not the batter part of the recipe.

Rich Chocolate Frosting
This recipe makes a ton. I made it exactly as stated with the exception of using 1 3/4 c cocoa instead of the full amount. I used it on a bundt cake and I could easily frost 4 or 5 cakes with the amount this recipe calls for. Didn't care for the taste. My two young daughters wouldn't finish theirs as they didn't like the taste either and when a kid won't finish cake there is something wrong. The cake was awesome (One Bowl Chocolate Cake III)- too bad frosting wasn't. I like more of a milk chocolate flavor which may be why we didn't like it. Also -the butter mixed in with the powdered sugar and then the cocoa is hard to combine. Once the milk is added it is much easier to mix together. Oh well- onto the next frosting!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III
Made this exactly as stated. They weren't kidding when it says the batter will be runny after adding the boiling water. I'm glad I saw that or I would have been worried. I put a mug of water in the microwave for 2 minutes for the boiling water. Whether or not it boiled I have no idea as I didn't watch it but it was hot enough. This cake was amazing. Very spongy and airy and light. Definitely make sure to grease the pan(s) enough. I used a bundt pan and it worked perfectly. Also make sure to let it cool for the 10 minutes- otherwise it may not come out of the pan completely. I will never again buy cake mix (thank goodness!) from a box again! Very quick and easy to make! Thanks ever so much!
