HI!
About this Cook
All I have ever wanted was to be a good Wife and Mother. I am married and have 2 beautiful girls age 20 and 23 who are my very heartbeat. I love animals, flowers, beans and cornbread and cherry limeade with extra cherries. I have 3 Labs...a chocolate, black and yellow, 1 cat and a Maltese that I love as much as my children. I live in the country and spend most of my time in my kitchen and (when the weather is nice) working in my gardens. My greatest pleasures are bringing things to life and watching them grow, wether its a seed, a human, an animal or food. I enjoy watching it become all that God created it to become.
My favorite things to cook
Since I am from the South, I guess my favorite food would be Southern. The one thing I can NEVER turn down would be a bowl of pinto beans flavored with ham hocks and a pan of hot buttered cornbread!! Im getting hungry just thinking about it!! But I LOVE trying new recipes of all different kinds. I will try anything once. I love cooking for crowds and dinner parties. There is just something so fulfilling for me to see someone enjoy what I have cooked. Its my way of saying "I love you". No matter how silly it may sound, I think one of my most important purposes in this life is to cook for my family. And I always do it with happiness and love.

Asian Orange Chicken
This recipe is VERY GOOD!! I doubled the recipe because my family can put some Orange Chicken away!! Besides that I pretty much stuck exactly to the recipe. I didnt use your measurements on the cornstarch because I always just eyeball it. Also when frying chicken for any Chinese dish I usually use cornstarch instead of flour. It makes a lighter and more crispy coating!! And it also sticks better!! Try it!! I think it makes a huge difference!! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!! The family LOVED it and there wasnt a bite left!!

Caesar Salad I
This was pretty good!! I didn't really want to coddle the egg so instead I just added 1/2 cup mayo. I used a little less oil because of the mayo. I didn't have any ground mustard so I just added about a 1/2 tsp of dijon mustard. It wasn't the very best I have ever had but it was pretty darn good!! I WILL make it again!! Oh and I am not crazy about the "idea" of anchovys but I added a few because it just didn't really taste like Caesars without them. But I didn't add the whole can. It may have been even better if I did ...but I was afraid to. Thank you Cathy!!

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken
We are on a lowfat/calorie diet so I was looking for a recipe like that. I had a bag of raw chicken breast tenders that I wanted to use. I added some olive oil to a skillet and went by the recipe but used Lemon herb seasoning. I was SHOCKED at how flavorful it was!! It was really good!! I made lemon rice and red leaf salad with garlic and herb dressing and every bit was gone!!! We LOVED it and there was no guilt afterwards!! If you cook your chicken in Olive oil the lemon herb seasoning sort of makes its own gravy. It was very juicy and tender!! Thank you for the recipe!! We will be using it often!!
