About this Cook
Actually, growing up my mother tried to teach me to cook and I would cry and cry about it. Now I cook primarily because I have a family and I HAVE to. LOL
My favorite things to cook
My favorite recipe is burritos that I remember my mother cooking when I was little. Super easy...take a lb. of ground beef and brown it and drain the fat. Add a can of vegetarian style refrid beans and perhaps some garlic and a bit of salt and pepper. Warm the tortillas in the oven for about a minute and there you have it! Use whatever toppings you prefer...cheese, taco sauce, tomatos, onions, sour cream...whatever. HUGE hit with my whole family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite holiday tradition is baking the sugar cookies with my daughter and son for Santa Claus.
My cooking triumphs
I hosted Thanksgiving this past year for the first time and everything was a huge success. The turkey was perfect and all of the side dishes too!

This was good but my 9 yr old stated the pineapple had a funny taste.

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes
We didn't like the texture of this at all! No one would eat it.
