About this Cook
I have two wonderful kids, and a great husband to boot.
My favorite things to cook
Stick to your ribs, home style cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always make a huge appetizer feast on Christmas Eve, I am responsible for the Stuffed Mushrooms, Baked Brie, and Swedish Meatballs.
My cooking triumphs
I have finally perfected my Great Grandmas Chocolate Cake, I will be sure to share with all.
My cooking tragedies
The very fist time I tried making my husband an apple pie like his mothers, the crust was like paste, the apples were still raw, and to add insult to injury, he told me if I really wanted to make a pie like his mother, maybe I should give her a call.

Corn Bread Hamburger Pie
We thought that this was an average meal. I personally did not care for the texture of the corn bread after it had been cooked on top of the hamburger mixture. It could of used more seasoning. I did add a can of corn and about a cup of sharp cheddar.

Banana Oatmeal Cookie
Super moist, and such an easy to prepare. I simply threw the brown bananas into the mixer and mixed with the rest of the ingredients. There was no need to mash them before hand. I opted not to add nuts, but maybe next time with the addition of chocolate chips would be good too.

Chiles Rellenos Pie
We really did not care much for this recipe. This was way too eggy, it was like quiche in my opinion. I followed the recipe exactly as written. It was really bland. I thought it could use some salt, and some kick. I have to say that I have had better Chiles Rellenos recipe.
