Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Simple, but so juicy & tasty. I followed the recipe exactly as written & hubby said it's a keeper. I think time I will try increasing the lime juice, but just a bit...don't want to mess with success! Thanks for the recipe!

Venison Meatloaf

I didn't have spicy brown mustard, so I used Dijon, so maybe it's not fair to give a lower rating, but we found this pretty bland.

Dad's Pan-Fried Green Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2007
LOVE!!!!! Was looking for a recipe for some yellow beans & thought I would give this a whirl. Took advice of other reviewers & only used 2 T of light soya sauce & 1 T of sesame oil. Perfect! This would be a nice sauce for broccoli too. Thanks for the recipe!

Rhubarb Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
Awesome! One of my pregnant friends was craving rhubarb coffee cake & I have tons of rhubarb, so picked this recipe. I took it into work & told my friend to take as much as she wanted & put the rest in the coffee room...it was gone in minutes, with rave reviews. I'm making another one today because hubby wants some too. I used some of the previous reviewers suggestions & cut back the sugar to 1 cup & I upped the rhubarb to 3 cups. Excellent!! Thank you.

Best Burger Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2005
Family loved these...picky son didn't even pick out onion or oats. I thought they would be juicier, but maybe it was because I used moose meat. I cut the oats down to 1/2 cup, because the moose meat is so lean. I would probably make again...good flavour.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2005
Wow - this was a big hit, even with the hard to please kids. I took alot of ideas from previous reviews...namely, pounding the chicken breasts so they are thinner, marinating them in the olive oil & garlic for about an hour, adding seasonings (black pepper, italian seasoning & some Mrs. Dash), plus flipping them halfway through the cooking time. I also crushed up some croutons that I had in the cupboard & used those for some of the breadcrumbs, just to add some more flavour. I ran out of the bread crumb mixture, but the breasts were big that I used. This is a keeper! Thanks, Carol

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
This was a BIG hit with my family...they say they prefer this to the "traditional" tacos & tacos are one of their favorites! I used a package of taco seasoning instead of the chili powder. My picky daughter, who hates leftovers, even heated it up the next day. Thanks!

Texas Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2004
The family loved it! I found it a bit "saucy"...I would probably cut down on that next time. I used past suggestions & browned the chicken first, plus I used 1/2 sour cream & 1/2 ranch dressing. I also used garlic powder & some Mrs. Dash to give it extra flavour. I had some corn flake crumbs in the cupboard, so I threw those on as well. This recipe is a keeper! Thanks.
