Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
My husband loved um! I used KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce & followed another reviewers suggestion to cook in 1 tsp of oil in a pan. I would suggest making them in the small flour tortilla as opposed to the large. It was really hard to flip! The onions were GREAT! Thanks for posting this recipe, it's a keeper! Tasted a bit like BBQ chicken pizza from California Pizza Kitchen! We loved it!

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
I cut my chicken into small pieces & cooked in olive oil with largly chopped pieces of onion. I then sprinkled in part of a package of fajita seasoning. I added some taco seasoning to a can of refried beans and think that using the whole can was too much on the refried beans. I used On The Boarder tortilla chips & warmed in oven prior to putting the stuff on & our chips were not soggy at all. Next time would use only half of a can of beans & would add more cheese (used Kraft Mexican cheese blend). I also think I should have added more stuff, but I'm so darn picky so I didn't add tomatoes nor green onion. Would say they were good though & I would make again.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
This was OK, but I really like CRISPY bacon so I had to cook for quite awhile in order to get it as crisp as I like. I took it out a couple of times & flipped it around and such while cooking too. It was nice b/c I didn't have grease splattered all over my stovetop & I didn't waste a lot of paper towels as I do when cooking it in the microwave! My husband loved it b/c he thinks I get it too crisp when I cook it in the microwave as I usually do. I will probably make again though.

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This gravy was to die for! It was soo good, but I will not use the maple flavored sausage again as it really was too sweet for our taste. Other than that, you couldn't find a better gravy! Thank you for posting this recipe, it's a keeper!

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
INCREDIBLE! I've never made beans other than dumping & heating up a can. These really were not hard, took me a little while but WELL WORTH IT! Everyone really liked them. These will be made again for sure! I skipped the garbanzo beans & just added more of the baked & I think it was the pinto beans? VERY tasty! Thanks for posting this recipe.

Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
This was great! Couldn't believe how tender the pork was! My husband said reminded him of a pork roast b/c it was so tender. Put in crock pot at 11:15 & took out at about 5:30 after having cooked on low. I did not use butterfly chops, used thicker cut as thought would be better for cooking so long as the recipe says. The gravy was very good & plenty for the two of us! Served with pasta, green beans & garlic breadsticks. It was very good!

Kitty Litter Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
Made for work & got lots of "yucks" and laughs at the gross factor. I made a chocolate cake & used chocolate frosting as one had suggested to make it more like a cake. Used graham crackers on top. Although I got lots of compliments on the appearance, I will probably cut the cake vertically next time and put in a layer or pudding to spice it up. I also think that I would use the vanilla sandwich crackers and be sure to use the green food coloring. I was not a big fan of the graham crackers on top.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Made for Easter dinner & it was great! LOVE the frosting!!! I only used 2 cups of shredded carrots - couldn't tell that anything was missing. Will make again for sure! Made for a coworkers birthday & got a lot of compliments! Left out the nuts this time for allergies & no-nut people at work. Still very good! I did try a different frosting recipe this time & that was very good too!

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This was great! I made a regular pan using ricotta as others had suggested & had enough to do a little one with sour cream We DID NOT like with the sour cream, it for whatever reason seemed very salty. Loved the one with ricotta & husband said he like the texture of that one as well.

Ronnetta's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
Not the best sauce that I've had by far, but I wouldn't say it was bad. Maybe a little too sweet & not enough spices. Will probably look for another sauce though since my husband didn't like it.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
I LOVE broccoli & this just kind of ruined it in my opinion. I think it was a bit too sweet for my taste and will stick with butter on my broccoli as have always done before. Gotta try the new recipes though to know if you like them or not.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
I really didn't think this was anything to write home about. My husband actually could not finish eating his the flavor was so bad he said. We both thought it was dry & I will not be making this again. Followed the recipe just as it said and did not make any alterations.
