In the attempt to try to bring variety to the dessert portion of Phase I, I suggest a variation on this dessert. I add 1/4 tsp almond extract, 1/4 tsp imitation coconut extract, and one tsp cocoa powder and omit the espresso. For some reason, I think the Splenda is very sweet and I find that this desssert tastes less artificial if I reduce the Splenda by 1/2 - but most people like to use the full packet. (You can also try top increase the extracts to as much as 1/2 tsp each). This variation tastes a little bit like an Almond Joy.
