As you all can see I am originally from San Diego. Four years in the navy brought me to Washington. I met my husband in Florida. He is absolutely amazing. He likes to cook to so I get a little spoiled everynow & then. Not sure what else to say. If you want to know more check out my profile at www.myspace.com/sunny619
My favorite family cooking traditions
In the area of food there are great cooking traditions on both sides of my family. I am half irish/german & half chamorro (my mother is from guam), so I love my corned beef & cabbage (stereotype-I know) & lumpia, keleguen, etc. Its all good!
My cooking tragedies
Once when I was about 16 or 17 I tried to make these cinnamon maple pinwheels or something close to that from a cookbook my mother had. I didn't prep my cookie sheet right so although they cooked up fine, they stuck like crazy to the sheet. I had to peel & scrape them all off. When my dad came home from work later on he thought the massive pile on the plate was hashbrowns!!! I still laugh about it. Plus side they still tasted good & everybody ate them all up!
