About this Cook
I started cooking for the family when I was 14 years old, Mom would tell me what to make and leave the recipe out for me to follow (had taken Home Ec. in jr. high). I've been cooking ever since and enjoy sharing my recipes and creation with anyone who likes to eat!
My favorite things to cook
Easy recipes and LOVE to use my crock-pots too!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I read cookbooks like most people read novels, which is something that my Grandma use to do too, so it is in my genes! My grandma was a cook for the nuns in the small town that I grew up in and they would all come back from lunch and tell my brothers and me how good of a cook our grandma was. My mother followed in her footsteps as a good cook and now it's my turn to show my two daughters how to be good cooks too!
My cooking triumphs
Made my nephews wedding cake and have made and sold cakes thru the years. Any recipe that turns out great is a triumph and having the family tell you that they really liked their meal and to make sure and keep the recipe because they want you to make it again!
My cooking tragedies
In jr. high I accidentally added to much butter to a cookie recipe and the cookies really spread but they were still good! Any recipe that sounds really good but than does not taste like the recipe sounds like it should.

Burrito Pie
My daughter made this for myself and my husband for dinner one night and it was very good! I think the only thing she did different was to add the j. pepper to the hamburger when she was browning it. We both thought it tasted even better acouple of days later! Very good!!

Chicken Parmigiana
VERY GOOD!!! My daughter made this for our dinner tonight and it was very good, she did what some of the other reviews suggested and reserved half of the sauce until serving. She also added basil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder and salt/pepper to the bread crumb mixture. Will definately make again!! Thanks for sharing, Candy.

Funky Frito Fruckies
I follow the recipe except that I used a 12 oz. bag of milk chocolate chips instead of the bars. This taste very similiar to the Special K bars that I make and to the Cornflake stacks that my Mom makes! Very good! Thanks for sharing Kevin.
