Great recipe!!

Super good chili recipe! The only change I made was to substitute 2 cans of kidney beans for two of the cans of chili beans and to sub Jimmy Dean hot sausage for the italian sausage. After I got all of the ingredients put together I was thinking that it was way too think and had no sauce but after it simmered for a couple of hours it was the perfect consistency. So make sure that you let it simmer for a couple hours before you decide to add any extra liquid to thin it. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

I love this recipe! It is perfect the way it is written. I do add a little ham base to give it a little smokey flavor. Another tip is to add a few dashes of tabasco. Not enough to give it any heat but brings out the flavors.
