Mocha Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
This recipe was ok, the flavor was good, but it was not what I would call "icing". It was kind of thin, closer to a glaze than icing, I had to add more powdered sugar to get a better spreading consistency.

Corn Pudding IV

I adore this recipe. I only make it on holidays, since it is so rich, but it is delicious. I recommend making less than you think you'll need, as I have found people don't take huge servings, but I do like it as a leftover also.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
This recipe was FABULOUS. Real stick to your ribs comfort food. I did a few things different, I only used one onion (it was pretty big) and sauteed it in a little butter first for flavor. I also opted to bake it in the oven, my pan didn't have a lid so I covered it with foil, baked for about 1/2 hour then baked uncovered for another 10-15 minutes. Definitely something I will make again, it was simple and easy. I will probably add some spices next time to play around.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Usually turkey burgers are boring, but these were particularly tasty. Didn't change a thing and they were really good & juicy too!

Brown Sugar Chops

I altered this recipe by adding sliced onions and using worcestershire sauce instead of soy sauce. I melted the butter & made more of a glaze. I poured it over the chops & baked them for about 30 minutes, glazed them again & broiled them to give them color and they stayed SO moist and were delicious!

Beef Noodle Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
This was great! I was looking for something new to do with ground beef and it worked out well, I made a couple of changes (based on what I had on hand). I added some chopped onion to the ground beef when I browned it and used garlic & herb soup mix instead of onion soup mix.

Pumpkin Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
This was great! Just be forewarned that it makes a LOT of dip; it is also not something you can eat a lot of, so if you are making it for a small get together you might want to halve the recipe! Overall a hit, tastes just like pumpkin pie filling, great with ginger snaps and graham crackers.

Egg and Hash Brown Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2004
Made this for brunch and it disappeared! I would recommend adding a little pepper or other seasoning, I didn't find that it needed salt because I used ham. Some suggestions were adding a little hot sauce or salsa. It made enough for a small helping for 8, so if you are using it as a main dish it would not feed more than 4. I did need to cook it longer, after 30 minutes it was still very watery in the center. Overall a GREAT recipe, SO easy and tasty, will make it again without a doubt!
