About this Cook
I love to cook, especially for company. I am famous for trying something "new" on my victims! I believe fresh herbs can take any recipe to a new level. Searching for new and interesting recipes is one of my favorite activities.
My favorite things to cook
All things chicken - it's so forgiving. I enjoy grilling out of the ordinary things such as goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto. I also enjoy putting together cheese platters and pairing my selections with a good compatible wine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year for my birthday, my mom makes me stuffed cabbage rolls - I have personally never made them and won't as there's no way they would be as good!
My cooking triumphs
Any dinner that makes it to the table hot but not burned is a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
Sugar cookies minus the sugar - oops. Mole sauce...ugh.

Tofu Parmigiana
This was surprisingly delicious and I didn't feel I was sacrificing taste for eating healthy. I ran out of breadcrumbs and used panko for the last few slices - both were good. I love fresh herbs and lemon so I added a squeeze of lemon over the finished product and a generous amount of fresh basil but the recipe as it reads is excellent. This recipe will be a regular in my house...thank you for sharing!

Beet Salad with Goat Cheese
Simple yet out of the ordinary salad. Using fresh beets is worth the effort. Warming the goat cheese before placing it on top of the salad takes it up a notch as well as adding fresh herbs to the dressing. I will make this salad often!

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes
Simple but so much flavor. To put it over the top, I added a 1/2 cup of chopped, fresh rosemary. Great recipe for summer picnics and cold weather hearty meals.
