I used Dark Chocolate Cake I recipe for the cupcake, and the Buttercream Chocolate Cookie Frosting recipe. I didn't feel this made nearly enough frosting for 24 cupcakes, so I added 1/4 c butter and probably 1/2 c of heavy cream and whipped it until fluffy. This was my first attempt at frosting.
