About this Cook
I am so lucky to have a fantastic hubby and two super cute little boys. My husband is a Chiropractor and right now I am a stay at home mom. Prior to having my boys I was a stock broker at a local bank.
My favorite things to cook
I love to find new and fun family style seafood recipies. We all love seafood and I always enjoy the feeling of a happy family gathered around the kitchen table.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to have summer parties out on the deck. We always have so much fun swimming, drinking beer and roasting clams on the grill on a warm summer day!!
My cooking triumphs
Nothing overly spectacluar yet ... but I will keep you posted!! :)
My cooking tragedies
My first party in my new house. I had all of the food ready to go into the oven ahead of time. When the guests arrived I turned on the oven and put the food in. Only to find out that our oven had DIED and there was no way to cook the food ..... I grabbed the closest bottle of wine and then called for take out!! :)

Maryland Crab Cakes II
Great crab cakes. I (like others) replaced the hot sauce w/Old Bay cause I can't imagine any type of seafood w/o at least a little Old Bay on it ;). I also cut the calories by cutting out the egg yolk and using lo-cal mayo. Broiling with a little shot of Pam was a super idea. They had a nice crunchy outer crust and were cooked perfectly on the inside. Thanks for the post!

Chinese Chicken Rice Salad
I think this is good BUT with some changes. I used long grain and wild rice, added garlic, baby spinach and crushed red pepper. I also replaced 1 tbsp of the EVOO with sesame oil. IMO - the 1st day it is not that good at all but after sitting in the fridge overnight it was better. Thanks for the post.
