We followed the recipe as written. It thickened nicely, before baking it was very runny and we were worried for no reason. My only two suggestions, add garlic for those garlic lovers out there and if you have the skills, make the pie crust from scratch. Lacking time I had used a prepared crust, not the same. Yummy recipe, I'll make again with some garlic, thanks for sharing this with us

Enjoyed by the family tonight! I used 3 tsp. of minced garlic with 1/2 onion and mushrooms sauteed in chicken broth seasoned with salt and pepper. I had intended not to alter the recipe, but added fresh parm. cheese on top as well. I'm going to add corn and peas next time and spice it up. Thanks for sharing, we had a wonderful dinner!

I'm sorry but the recipe as written is very bland. My teenage son that eats everything put the bowl down after a few bites and I ended up cooking a second dinner. With much tweaking this could be a 4 star.
