Layered Taco Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
I give it 4 starts because I make it a little different- but every time I make it - it is a huge hit! I use 8 oz of sour cream rather than cottage cheese and omit the lettuce (it can get soggy) and I omit the lemon juice. you can add other toppings too like cilatnro, diced red pepper, tomato....

Layered Crab Spread

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
I have this 4 stars only because I didn't make it exactly as suggested. I used spicy cocktail sauce and a mix of imitation crab and shrimp and a handful of finely chopped green and red pepper for added crunch and flavor, put a large shrimp in the middle for decoration. served with crackers- everyone loved it- the plate was scraped!

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
I followed the advice of others and doubled the sauce- I took it to a super bowl party last night and everyone loved it- the bowl was scraped clean- all commented that it tasted authentic- I had to add olive oil though as mine was dry due to the fact that I used already cooked bacon. it was super easy to make will definitely make it again

this is a quick and easy way to make cookies- I used lemon cake mix and topped with the cream cheese frosting on this site. My husband likes the cherry cake mix with chocolate chips

Aunty Pasto's Seafood Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
very good lasagna- nice flavor- gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I agree with other reviewers that it was too runny- and i even cooked it the night before I ate it, so it would have time to set and sauteed the mushrooms before adding them- I used shrimp, scallops and crab and topped with sauted onions, peppers and mushroom- and some chopped tomoatos would definitely make it again- maybe next time I would add spinach or brocolli too

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: May 24, 2004
Absolutely LOVED this recipe! I had a party of 10- since there were several other appetizers I halfed the recipe and it still made quite a bit- everyone really raved over how good it was- I used fat free ranch- and instead of canned chicken I sauted boneless skinless breast with garlic, red and black pepper , and chili powder than diced up the chicken in tiny pieces- served with celery and tortilla chips- can't wait to make it again!

Caribbean Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
My husband and I both really liked this and my house smelled wonderful! I made a lot of changes based on a lot of the other reviews. I marinated put black and red pepper, and garlic powder on each chicken breast then covered with 1 can of lite coconut milk for several hours.(next time I would cut the chicken up first instead of leaving the breast whole) browned the chicken then cut up into pieces- in another skillet I sauted green chiles and finely chopped ginger along with the onions and peppers. Then added brocolli and baby corn. once the chicken was browned I added the saute from the other skillet and added another can of lite coconut milk and about 1/2 c. pineapple juice.Added chopped cilantro and more red pepper (we like our food spicy!) let everything simmer for about 20 minutes.added cornstarch to thicken the sauce a bit served over jasmine rice and topped with sliced almonds- it was a perfect sweet and spicy combination!

Polish Reuben Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2004
My husband loved this recipe and I really liked it! He had 3 helpings and I had 2! I made a few changes 1. I left out the onions and bread crumbs 2. added chopped cabbage and 1/2 the saurkraut amount (wouldn't add cabbage again) 3. used turkey kielbasa 4. used 98% fat free low sodium cream of mushroom soup. 5. after baking for an hour I broiled it for 8 minutes to brown the kielbasa a bit This was SO EASY to make- I will definitely keep this recipe!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2004
my husband loved this recipe! I followed the advice of others and added salt only to taste. I forgot yogurt when I shopped, so I used fat free sour cream- (next time will use yogurt to compare). also, used fat free half and half in place of heavy cream- both changes worked out great. added mushrooms, red pepper and onion when prepared sauce- was just like at the restaurant!
