About this Cook
I am a mother of two, my husband is in the US Coast Guard. We move around a lot. I started cooking when I married my husband, I guess you can say I forced myself to. I wanted my family to eat homecook meals like how my parents raised me on. With allrecipes.com, it has been such a wonderful experience for me to try new recipes here that are incredibly good! In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my kids, reading historical fiction and KJV bible, outdoor activities and trying new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook southern food, asian, mexican, italian and desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom would always cook for us (we hardly eat out), she passed this tradition on to me and now I'm passing it on to my daughter. I grew up eating fish and lots of vegetables. Since my husband is all-american and I'm cambodian. We switch back and forth on our culture and sometime merge the two!
My cooking triumphs
I've learned to make better italian dishes just because of allrecipes!
My cooking tragedies
Baking cookies that came out so hard that it nearly broke my grandpa fragile tooth.

Portuguese Sweet Bread I
This taste really good, I accidently put in a 1/3 c. of margarine than the 2 tbsp that was asked for! It turned out fine, I didn't have a bread machine, so I did it the old fashioned way. I baked it at 400 for 16 minutes.
