Crazy easy and one pot to boot! Yum! No need for the chile peppers, although I'm sure it adds great flavor. I did halve the cheese.

Fresh Pineapple Dessert

As the writer of this recipe, I just want to point out some errors in the editing. 6 inches from the heat source is WAY too close and that's why people are getting burnt coconut! I'd say 12-15 inches, depending on your oven. Also, the vanilla ice cream is a key ingredient that got bumped into the description. It's not the same without it!

Cool Whip Cookies

If you're really looking for lemon flavor, add some extract. The lemon in these is very subtle as written. It helps A TON to have a cookie scoop or small ice cream scoop when making these. I prefer them cooked until JUST golden brown so that they have some texture on the bottom and aren't just completely soft.

Tempted to give this only 4 stars, because the recipe really should say to make this 24 hrs. ahead of time. It's magic how time makes it taste so much better! Tastes WONDERFUL and is so easy, I had to go with 5 stars!

Easy Quiche

More like a frittata, but super yummy and easy. I found it to be a bit greasy, so next time I'll half the cheese and butter. As written it is VERY cheesy.

Tried italian turkey sausage and didn't care for it, but the overall flavor, ease and method deserve 5 stars! Can't wait to try it with cabbage and smoked sausage as others have suggested.

Take these out of the oven while they are still soft and very light colored - the cinnamon on the bottom makes them prone to a burnt taste. Also, store them with a piece of bread to absorb the air - they lose their chewiness quickly otherwise!

Hearty Pasta Tomato Soup

Fantastic! Very flavorful. My crock pot is just an average size, so I half the recipe. I also add the peppers during the last hour or so to avoid them getting bitter. Sometimes I substitute diced tomatoes for the stewed as well.

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

By far, the best pancake I've ever had. It never fails. I always use fresh blueberries and let the batter rest as suggested for the fluffiest texture! Delicious with brown sugar and butter - thanks for the suggestion!

I'll never buy boxed muffin mix again! These were too easy and came out far better than store bought. Wouldn't change a thing! Be sure NOT to use tub margarine - it will totally ruin them.

Honey Pancake Puff

The taste wasn't bad, but this came out too dense for me even though it did puff up. I tried adding 1 tsp. of vanilla and putting powdered sugar on top with maple syrup, but it still wasn't quite sweet enough. I think more cream cheese (double?)and maybe less eggs would be a good modification.

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
I kept the chops covered during the simmering, and am I glad I did! The sauce that was left was awesome! I served it with Oven Brown Rice (from this site) and drizzled the sauce over both the chops and the rice. I didn't have any fresh garlic, so I had to substitute garlic powder. Still delish!

I didn't really like the cakey texture of these cookies. I also thought they lacked the "yum" factor.

Chicken and Dumplings III

For low-fat, pretty yummy. Verrrry easy! Next time, I'll boil the chicken to make it more tender and experiment with seasonings as the sauce was too bland(I did halve the celery seed, though). Personally, I liked the dumplings big!

VERY tasty! Next time, I'll cut the salt in half and use thick chops. Carrots and onions would be a great addition to this for a one dish meal!

Famous Pork Chops

I wasn't searching for a low-fat recipe, so I have to give this one 5 stars! Very tasty - my husband never likes baked pork chops, but loved these! I added parsley and used Garlic Butter flavored Ritz. Yum! Save your egg - you only need 2. Definitely use 1/2 of the butter, turn over after 20 minutes, and uncover at the end.

Fast and Easy Pancakes

Very nice taste! I think it has the perfect amount of vanilla. So SUPER easy to make - took less than 3 minutes to mix up the batter. Only drawback - it's missing fluffiness! It helps to double the baking poweder, though.

Shepherd's Pie VI

This is a good recipe that's easy to make. I would add more cheese next time and either more ketchup or a can of crushed tomatoes. It needs a little more oomph. Even so, all 12 of my guests had seconds or thirds.
