I'm married to a wonderful man who was born and raised on the island of Maui. That means a lot of rice. I was raised in Tennessee, which means a lot of biscuits and potatoes. I remember when we were first married he asked me to stop serving biscuits with our meal. I've now got 2 wonderful kids; one who is 3 and will only eat chicken nuggets and saimin. The other is 10 months and will eat EVERYTHING. It's such a hard task to make something everybody will eat.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking mexican. Also, I love to make stuffed cabbage with my family. My great-grandmother's secret recipe was given ONLY to my mother, and it is so much fun to make, b/c it involves the whole family.
My cooking triumphs
I made a meatloaf about a year into marriage, and my husband proclaimed that it was better than his mothers.
My cooking tragedies
The first dinner I cooked as a new bride, was pork chops. Boy, were those suckers DRY!!! We ended up dumping them, and going to McDonalds.
