Baked Spaghetti II

This is an excellant recipe....I did however add a few more seasonings, like oregano, basil, pepper and sesoning salt...it needed a bit more flavor for my taste....my suggestion is to taste it as your cooking it and season it to your own taste..I also didn't have tomato soup so I used tomato sauce and it woked fine..but overall it is a wonderful addition to my most used recipes.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
This is an excellant recipe....My Mom has been using this same recipe for YEARS and my Dad says there's no crust like it.......ONE DIFFERANCE though...use only 2/3 cup shortening...it will make it a lot lighter....and the secret is to not mess with the dough as much as possible or it will be tough....Great Crust Recipe !!!!!

Mexican Lasagna II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
Very Good....I'm very full as I write this....I did change a couple things as I took the advice from some of the other reviews...I browned the totillas before layering them in and I put the tortillas on the bottom like a crust...I also only put in one can of the refried beans...and I added black olives.....This was a nice recipe and I will be making it again...This would be nice to take to a party when you need to take a dish. Thanks

Mock Filets

This was definately something different. I enjoyed it and so did my husband...Other reviews say it's like meatloaf...taste nothing like my meatloaf....I didn't need as many helping as the recipe called for so I just made it all up and individually froze 3 of the portions...it will be nice for a quick meal in the future. I served with buttered egg noodles and beets. It was very moist and tender and had a nice flavor...Thanks for a new recipe.

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
I followed this recipe to the letter(except for not adding as much red pepper and I didn't have peanut oil,so I used Veg. Oil) and it turned out GREAT !!!...Very filling...I served it with Home Made Mashed potatoes and corn.. I will be making this again and I passed this recipe on to my Mom...I used a 10" cast Iron Skillet, so I didn't need as much Oil. A++++++++ Thanks for the new recipe.

Hamburger Pie

Very good. I did have to substitute tomatoe sauce for the tomatoe soup, and I only used one can of sauce. I also used french style green beans, and added more seasoning- garlic and pepper.Using instant potatoes also made it a lot quicker. I will put mushrooms in it next time. Overall, a very easy to make meal. I'll probally play around with this recipe and see what else I can come up with. Again, VERY GOOD !!!!

Self Frosting Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2004
These are good cookies, but very sweet. I even tried not putting the powdered sugar on them and it didn't make much difference. If you like really sweet cookies, these are good and easy to make. They would make a good Holiday cookie.
