You can't go wrong! Mix and matches the cheeses for variety. Great with a Cherry Coke or Peach flavored soda.

Green Bean Fries

I did not like these at all. They are time consuming for the end product. I followed the recipe exactly but I think I will stick with the ones at my local bowling alley instead.

This was great. My family does not like nuts so I left them out and this was still an amazing cake. I highly recommend it! It was even better the next day.

Cocktail Meatballs II

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
I have made this for years and it is very good. I have always called them "Grape Meatballs" so people will raise their eyebrows and be skeptical. Then they taste it and enjoy it. I sometimes put a few crushed saltines or breadcrumbs in the meatballs and it does not change a thing (I do this when I have saltines or breadcrums to use up). I serve these as a main course over saffron rice or wide Amish noodles and they are always a hit.

Is there a way to give 10 stars to a recipe? LOL This is SO VERY good. Don't change a thing. Fantastic for a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning. Try this and you won't be sorry! OMG is this good!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Excellent recipe!!!! I did not add the nuts (we do not like nuts in fudge in my house) and used Mexican vanilla. If I made this as often as everyone wanted, we would all weigh 500 pounds LOL

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
We liked this very much. I added some garlic powder, freshy ground pepper, a little greek seasoning, worchestershire sauce and a dash of hot sauce. This punched it up for my personal taste but have made it just as the recipe says and even thought it would be too bland for me, it s was very good. I use the corn flakes and really like the crunch it gives. Next time I make it I might add chopped onions and diced hot peppers (I like spicy things)but truly, the recipe is good even without tweaking.

Persian Kabob

I did not care for this recipe at all. A friend liked it very much. I guess it is just personal taste. We don't do a lot of mint things in my house so that might be it. I will say it was fun to make and thread onto the skewers and of course, almost anything on a skewer tastes good LOL

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
This was excellent! I think it is the best pork roast slow cooker on here. I put the pork in the crock pot and made the sauce, accidently omitting the vinegar and water (I was in a huge hurry). I rubbed the sauce into the pork and I then went to work. I got a call a about 2 hours later and was told the pork seemed a little dry so I walked a friend how to make the sauce and this time she added the vinegar, poured it over the roast and it was fine. Another friend came in from work, tasted it and his eyes rolled back in his head, he started saying "Oh yeah, yummm" and high fived me several times. Needless to say this recipe is a keeper and will be made often.

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
We did not like this recipe that much but it may just be our taste. I used an off brand of sausage and that might have made a difference but it was very heavy and was not a big hit. We didn't have leftovers. It was certainly eatable but I probably won't make again.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Excellent! I served these with the "Nests" from "Birds Nest Egg Salad" found on this site. I added finely chopped celery, a little bit of celery seed and a touch more curry (I love curry!). I also took others advice and did not use all the Mayo at once. I wound up using about 4 T of it. This was a great recipe and with the nests, it makes a great presentation as well. It looks like a lot of work went into it and very little did.

Bird's Nest Egg Salad

This is great. The nests are a great addition to any type of salad. The only thing different I did to the salad was add a dash if curry powder and dash of celery seed. It was perfect. I have served the nests with tuna, egg, chicken and turkey salads in them too. They are always a big hit.

Peanut Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
Tweaked it a bit. I like hot sauce in mine and I used a little ginger, lemongrass, cilantro, red pepper and garlic that you can get in tubes in the produce section. Just a squeese of each. I also used a heaping 1/2 cup of peanut butter and just a little bit of the sesame oil (a few drops). I also did not add the onion. I used raw green onions and cucumber. It is all personal taste but this is a great base.

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
This was great. I cut the hot dogs up into tiny pieces and increased the amount of cheese. I also used a couple of different kinds of chese. They were excellent and I will be sure to make them again. Next time I might add some cooked bacon or sausage for variation.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
This was great. I used a bag of frozen mixed vegetables that I cut up to make smaller for picky eaters. I used a can of cream of chicken soup, a can of mushroom soup with garlic and a can of cheddar cheese soup. I also added different kinds of cheeses. I spiced it up with Spike, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and a little fresh ground salt and pepper. It was great! I also made this once with beef (I was out of chicken) and added a package of cream of onion soup mix, golden mushroom soup, a dash of worcestershire sauce and beef broth, keeping everything else the same. This recipe is very easy to adapt. I may make it with ham soon. Pot pies are so popular in my house and this is the best recipe for any of them.

Hash Brown Ham Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
This was great. I made a few modifications. I had to skip the green pepper as my family will not eat them so I doubled the mushrooms. I put some cheese on top of the hash brown crust and then poured in the mixture to which I had added a little white cheddar and sharp cheddar plus a little ground red pepper and some Bayou Blast to give it a tad of a kick. I let this cook for about 25 minutes then added a cup of mixed cheeses to the top. I used sharp cheddar, mild cheddar, white cheddar and parmesan (these were the cheeses I had) and it was great. My family rated it an A plus and if you want to have leftovers, you better double it. I think this could be made with any meat and any cheese. Next time when it is just the adults I am going to try ham, jalapenos, onions, green peppers and maybe some sausage or bacon. It is a recipe that can be mixed and matched easily to suit any families tastes from the youngest to the oldest. Great comfort food!

Popcorn Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
This is great. I had to leave off the water chestnuts since I am allergic and have had to use Bac'os once but it was still a big hit. I also alter the types of cheeses so that it has a more exotic flavor. It is always the first things to go and the conversation piece. JUST MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL THE KERNALS!!!!
