About this Cook
I'm a homeschooling Mama to four children.
My cooking tragedies
I was making corned beef and cabbage for dinner one night and had to run a quick errand, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to just leave it on the stove since it was on low. One thing led to another and I completely forgot about the meat - we got home about 3 hours later to a very smoky house and a ruined stock pot. Oops!

Honey Wheat Bread II
I very much like the texture and the size of the loaves this recipe yields, but I found it to be bland even after upping the honey and salt as recommended.

Buttermilk Pie
The filling was very tasty but ended up coming out more quiche like than custard like. Not at all creamy like ones I've had in the past.

Fish Roll-Ups
I stuck the fish in the pan and topped with the cracker mixture rather than rolling up, since I'm lazy, but they were super yummy. I omitted the cheese, used dill instead of parsley, and butter and garlic ritz crackers to give it a bit more flavor. Even my six year old who who is a professed fish hater told me, "Well, maybe this is the one kind of fish I do like" That's good enough for me!
