About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake - cakes, pies, cookies, any of that stuff. I also make a mean spaghetti sauce.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving dinner - we all make it together. : )
My cooking triumphs
Amazing chocolate birthday cake for my dad with this cool chocolate that wrapped around it - a very art deco cake. I got the recipe from the Cake Bible and there's a picture of it in there.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count!

Buttermilk Syrup
Make it with brown sugar for a caramel-y taste that's to die for. I love this syrup and we hardly ever use "regular" syrup anymore, this is even better.

Banana Pancakes I
These are absolutely amazing - we're having them for "breakfast for dinner" right now and I had to get up to rate this before I forgot. Try these now!!

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting
Incredibly good - why didn't I ever think to mix cream cheese and lemon before? This is so rich and creamy and decadent and tart, just amazing.
