Bread Pudding II

It was a bit soupier than I would prefer and I'd even added more bread than initially called for. Next time I'll try doubling the bread and nothing else. As another reviewer suggested, I'll cut back maybe on an egg too because kind of reminded me of french toast. Regardless with a few tweaks, I'll definitely make this recipe again. Everyone ate the heck out of it!

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

I used low-fat kielbasa and added a bit more milk but really followed the recipe other than that and it was a huge hit!Loved this... easy, filling, delicious.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

I didn't use the green chili peppers or jalapeno peppers either and the cayenne alone made it a bit too spicy. Should have read the other reviews! Other than that, it was DELICIOUS!!! I used fresh chicken breasts that I cooked and added as shredded chunks. I also mixed in the cheese I had and served that way.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I've made this recipe several times in the past month. DELICIOUS! I've always used chef joy's recipe for the topping (most helpful review) but I use it for a double batch of muffins. The first time I used her version of topping for only 8 muffins and it was too much for me. The 2nd time I made this recipe my grocery store had no blueberries so I used cherries instead. DIVINE!! I'll never use another recipe for muffins again and I plan to use this recipe as a base recipe for many future variations of muffins.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

I LOVE how deliciously crispy the chicken comes out! I used chicken tenders. To the flour/corn starch mixed I added 1.5 tsp of adobo (I imagine you can use poultry seasoning), 1.5 tsp of paprika, 1/2 tsp pepper and 1 tsp of salt. Flavor wise it was perfect for us! I'll never make fried chicken any other way.

Hard Chocolate Glaze

I halved the recipe and it was more than enough. So easy and exactly what I wanted. Used it on the Chocolate Lover's Favorite Cake recipe found on this site. Talk about adding another level of decadence!! Yum-ee!

Carrot Ginger Creme

Followed recipe exactly. Made this for our first "Food Club" meeting. Our secret ingredients was ginger. The only difference was I doubled the amount of ginger. This won RAVE reviews! Next time I make I will try with milk to save on calories if just for me. Great recipe!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

I improvised a bit to make a smaller portion. Also didn't need oil as I cooked chicken, onions & garlic in water with seasoning. Shredded chicken and added that and the liquid (along with some more liquid) to rest of ingredients. This was so good and so simple! We ate with tortilla chips... my daughter stuffed herself silly. ***I just realized I forgot to add the sour cream! Super tasty so I doubt I'll add next time I make this as it certainly didn't need it.

Super Sausage Gravy

I noticed the reviews that mentioned too much sausage so I changed the serving size to 6 but kept it at 1lb of sausage. Followed recipe exactly besides this one change. This was my first time making sausage gravy and it was DIVINE! So good, so easy, my favorite kind of recipe. Thank you for sharing!! I won't bother ever trying a different recipe.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Great recipe and easy to play with! I used small lima beans because that's what I had, picked low-fat kielbasa as the sausage and used some adobo instead of garlic powder and forgot the oregano! Since I was using the larger beans, I cooked just the beans & broth for a couple hours then added the veggies & meat. Super delish!

Honey Butter

My best friend introduced me to this recipe this weekend but I make it her way which is using 1/2 c. of honey. Another variation is strawberry butter. Instead of honey, add in 2 tbsp each of strawberry jam and powdered sugar. So good!!

Easy Lemon Cookies

So good! My co-workers loved. I made a 2nd version using red velvet cake mix & almond extract that was a huge hit too! My mom has requested I make a batch of cookies for this weekend because we have family coming into town. It's too easy and very good! I baked mines for about 10 minutes on a baking stone. Simply Au Gratin Shreds

I used 1% milk because I didn't have whipping cream and added minced onions based on other reviewers stating it was a bit bland (would have sauteed some real but didn't have any). This came out really tasty and my daughter loved it! Plus one of the few ways to make a cheesy shredded potato dish that doesn't include sour cream which is what I was looking for. I'm not positive but I'm figuring this recipe was lower in fat than other versions but definitely not lacking in flavor!

Amy's Delicious Turkey Burgers

Adjusted recipe to 5 servings because that's how much ground turkey I had. Used 1 tsp of red pepper flakes and that gave a good kick but not too much. Can't imagine 1 or 2 tbsps!! Slapped in a wheat pita with lettuce, tomato & slice of cheddar. Yum!

Dump Cake V

Super easy recipe that's even easier to play with. I was making this for picky kids so I kept it super simple. I used the crushed pineapple, apple pie filing & the yellow cake mix. I only used 1/2 (1 stick) of butter and that was plenty. VERY yum. Look forward to the cherries/pineapple combo for next time!

Pat's Potato Salad

Followed recipe to a T. I didn't have time to do it all the day before so I put all of the dressing ingredients together the night before so the flavors had time to get right. The next evening all I did was boiled the potatoes, cooled and cubed and added dressing. It was SO GOOD! Kept getting compliments so very, very happy with recipe. This will be the only potato salad recipe I use from now on. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken, Feta Cheese, and Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps

Fantastic recipe!! I wonder if the user who had a problem with the dressing used a vinaigrette? Make sure you pick up the sun-dried tomato dressing which is NOT a vinaigrette because that's what I did and this recipe was awesome. Oh and easy too! Can't beat that.
