I believe that I may have over-cooked this as mine came out a bit dry. My crockpot does seem to run a little hotter than others. Great flavor overall, though. The vegetables turned out great. If you're looking for a good stand-by-from-scratch (no soup mixes, etc) Pot Roast recipe for the slow cooker, this is a fine one to start with and build upon! Thanks!

Made this for Christmas this year and it was a hit! We forgot to purchase honey at the store so, at the last minute, I used honey BBQ sauce in its place. This really cut back the taste of the cloves (I noticed that previous reviewers didn't like this ingredient, so this may help for like-minded cooks/families). I smells wonderful cooking during the day and tasted excellent. I was asked for this recipe from many of our friends and family. Highly recommended.
