Basic Ham and Bean Soup
Wonderful! In the past, I've used a recipe from my Mom & made in a pressure cooker. This recipe was much, much better. Sorry Mom! Minor changes I made: (1) cooked in slow cooker for 6-8 hrs, (2) substituted chicken stock (Kitchen Basics) for water, (3) used piece of smoked ham shank, (4) used jar of Randall Great Northern Beans - didn't rinse, (5) omitted salt since ham is a tad salty and (6) tossed in some left over maple flavored bacon (Bob Evan's) I had from the previous morning. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks!

Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Wonderful & easy. Just had this as a side dish over the weekend at a 4 year old birthday party. Kids & adults ate it up. Nothing was left.

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew
Though it took a little time, it was well worth the effort. I won't make beef stew any other way from now. Only thing I did differently was adjust the recipe for 4 servings & used Crisco shortening instead of the vegetable oil to brown the meat in.
