Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

The bread crumb and fried onions cause this meatloaf to be mushy. I don't like mushy food. I like a little more texture in my meat loaf. I gave the recipe 2 stars because the flavor was good, however, I won't be making this recipe again.

Guacamole

This recipe tastes fresh and savory. My husband and I weren't quite sure of the cayenne pepper though. Cayenne adds heat but not much flavor. I may replace the cayenne with jalapeno sauce next time. Will definitely make again though!

Salmon in Lemon-Dill Sauce

This recipe was pretty good and would have been better poured over noodles. I may have not made the sauce correctly but it left something to be desired...too much butter maybe? Some garlic and mushrooms might help.

Spicy Garlic and Pepper Shrimp

Interesting! I'm not too keen on cabbage and this recipe didn't change my mind but the entire family really enjoyed it. I would probably make it again and add a little sweetness to the sauce next time.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Delicious! I always have difficulty keeping the cheese inside the chicken and this time was no different. The cheese melted out into the sauce but it turned out just divine! I will definitely make this one again.

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

My husband actually quipped that this is "Lose a Husband Brunswick Stew". Three hours is a long time to wait for a bowl of hickory flavored meat water. I can't justify the price for all of the ingredients since this amounted to one meal for my family - they didn't want the leftovers.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

This recipe is very easy to make. I used pumpkin spice pudding mix instead of butterscotch and it turned out great. The recipe is too sweet though. I would make it again but cut down on the sugar somehow - maybe with sugar-free pudding or splenda brown sugar.

Baked Halibut Steaks

I'm not sure why my halibut didn't turn out as well as others did. The feta didn't melt and actually lost its flavor after being cooked. The toppings didn't do anything to compliment the halibut. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it was edible...and healthy.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

The flavor was good but a bit on the sweet side. I liked this recipe because it was different but I didn't care for the texture. The turkey and pumpkin turned out a bit mushy after it was cooked.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

This is my favorite cookie recipe. I actually made these cookies and passed them out to all of my neighbors this year - they raved about them! These are best served warm with a cup of coffee. Since the recipe is a bit cake-like, you may consider making it into a bundt cake or a bread loaf. Enjoy!

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

This is one of my very favorite recipes because its quick and savory. I enjoy it so much that I actually crave it after I haven't had it for awhile. If you like lamb then I highly recommend this recipe.
