Iced Coffee Syrup
Excellent recipe! i've always preferred iced coffee to hot coffee, and having this recipe is the best! Easy to grab coffee in the morning with this...don't have to wait around for the kettle to boil, coffee to dissolve...etc, etc. Adding mocha is a nice touch too! and i used more than just 1/4 cup..maybe like 1T more..just for more flavor, esp since i has adding chocolate syrup, so didn't come out too sweet. But yeah, thanks for the recipe! i've shown it to my coworkers, who all tried it and loved it too!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops
Excellent marinade! simple, fast and my family thought it was great. i let it sit in marinade in the fridge for 5 hours, and quadrupled the recipe for 7 chops. only thing was that my chops were done in much, much less time (about 15 min/side), so they came out a bit tougher than i would have liked. but still tasy nonetheless!

Hearty Split Pea Soup
i'd give this recipe 4.5 stars. The results were really good, but only after i did the modifications suggested by other reviewers (substituting 2 c water with 2 c chicken broth, adding celery, 4 slices of bacon and more carrots). I also seared the diced ham to try to seal in the flavor, and add a more smokey-ness to the soup, but the ham still came out tasteless, since all the flavor came out into the soup. I fried the bacon first, and used that fat to fry the ham and vegetables before adding it into the slow cooker. Searing the ham really helped the flavor though, and overall, i liked the results. Next time, i think i'll go with the ham bone instead of diced ham, or just add the diced ham more towards the end of slow cooking.
