I'm a young 22 year old wife and mother of my 1 year old jack russell terrier named Bailey who is in my pictures! I started out with very little cooking experience before getting married. I was quite afraid to try complicated recipes. It all looked like unreadable mumble jumble to me. However, I was quite impressed with myself when my husband & I got married & moved in together to find out I was rather good! Since then I can't keep myself out of the kitchen. I LOVE trying new recipes & challenging myself with some more difficult ones & I absolutely love to bake! Well I would have to say that my favorite thing to do is baking! Other than that I like to cook anything, I like a little challenge & I like trying to replicate restaraunt recipes to surprise my husband with! I'm still trying to master general gao's chicken so if anyone has a great recipe let me know! Again it would have to be baking some treats to bring over on the holidays. I impressed myself very much when I made strawberry cheesecake for the first time! It was sooo delicious. One night for dinner I decided to make buffalo chicken. My husband was on his way home from work & my brother was staying over for dinner. So I started prepping everything when my brother decided to run to the store for me & grab some blue cheese. It only took 5 minutes after he left when I heated the oil & left it on the burner a little too long. I set all the fire alarms off & our condo was filled with smoke! Luckily I thought to myself, no one was home to see my disaster. So I open all the windows & dumbly opened the door to our unit...when I set off the entire condo fire alarm & all my neighbours came down to see what happend. As if I wasn't humilated enough to tell them it was just me, the fire department came down & had to blow the smoke out the windows. Finally when everyone left my brother returned from the store. I was all teary eyed & embarrassed & told him what happend, he laughed soo hard & couldn't believe that he missed all the action the 15 minutes he was gone!
