About this Cook
I have a wonderful hubby and two children. I work full time but am always so eager to get home to try a new recipe. I am half Samoan half caucasian so my cooking definitely reflects both cultures.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Samoan food, although traditionally we do not write down recipes so it is challenging. I also love to bake, although, I still consider myself a novice.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom does not cook so I didn't grow in a house with many cooking traditions. My brother and I, however, always prided ourselves on perfect scrambled eggs.
My cooking triumphs
Anything my picky husband enjoys, i consider a triumph...
My cooking tragedies
Where do I begin....I guess if I had to pick one....any recipe that involves deep frying has been a tragedy for me.

Pumpkin Walnut Cake
I used brown sugar instead of white and pecans because it is what I had on hand. I baked it for 15 minutes longer than called for and it turned out wonderfully.

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts
Wonderful recipe. My chicken breasts were extra large so I extended the cooking time about 20 minutes and they were still so moist and juicy.

Baby BLT
This was a very tasty recipe and not as time consuming as I thought it would be. I made them last night for a potluck today and making them so far in advance made the tomatoes a bit mushy. Next time I won't stuff until right before serving.
