I love cooking - although eating what I cook is another story... I've been baking since my mom let me turn on the oven by myself (possibly... 5th grade?), before that I baked with my baby-sitter's little sister! So much fun! Bread! There's nothing like kneading bread until it hits the perfect texture. And desserts. Frying hundreds of samosas for Eid parties... Mango lassi, yum! 1) My many fortune cookie disasters. Why does it seem like I'm the only one who cares about the recipe for fortune cookies? 2) Cooking lentil soup... with a whole bag of lentils. I had no idea they would expand like that. I had to eat lentil soup for 1 month. Never again.
