About this Cook
I'm a semi crunchy granola stay at home mom to my two kiddos Catherine and Henry. Catherine is turning 4 in September, and Herny will be also be 2 in September. I'm fairytaleishly and cheeseifully (YEAH those are words so shut up already) in love with and married to my husband Patrick. We've been married for seven years and we we high school sweethearts *heartfelt awwwwww's and applause* Both of our children have autism.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything! One of my favorite hobbys is to try and recreate a dish I enjoyed at a resturant or by another cook. The only area where I really need some work, that I have not been able to teach myself asian cooking. My flavors are good, by textures are not. I think I may take some classes in this area.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies! What else?
My cooking triumphs
Being the "mom who makes the best chocolate chip cookies" and also creating my own really fantastic enchilada sauce. Better than any other I've ever had! (Try it!) And my blondies.... oh so so good!!!
My cooking tragedies
Oh dear. I keep wanting to come up with a pumpkin cookie that is chewy and NOT cake-like, it's just not happening. The ones I come up with are good, but decidedly cake-like and that is not what I am going for at all!

Clone of a Cinnabon
I don't know, I must have done something wrong b/c this recipe has so many great reviews, but mine were just BAD. They LOOKED good, but the flavor was was just bad. They tasted nothing like Cinnabon, and the texture of the frosting and the dough was not great either. I made this recipe to the T. I will not be making these again, they were too much work to go through if they come out this bad again.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough
Like some other reviewers we don't drink so we don't have beer on hand, so I made this with water instead and it was not only the best homemade pizza I ever had, but maybe the best pizza! This is a keeper for sure! Making it again tonight! :-) I divided my dough ball into two and rolled them thin because we like thin crispy crust. I added thyme and oregano to my dough and then brushed the top with minced garlic and butter (out of olive oil at the moment). I baked off the crust for 5 min so it would be crisp. Added the toppings and baked for 15 min. What can I say, perfecto.
