About this Cook
I am 16 years old. My name is Natalie. I have been cooking most my life. My mom and older sister have always cooked for my large family(6 brothers and 2 sisters) I have picked up on the art, and have enjoyed it ever since I was a young child. I always want to cook whatever is the most unique! I look through recipe books just trying to find something new to try out! I have TONS of hobbies, and if I can create something with my hands, I am there! I do sewing(I am working on a civil war reinactment costume now!) embroidery, knitting, crocheting, cookie(of course!) boating, biking, walking, writing, photography, drawing, and my favorite....Paperdoll making and collecting! I have a collection of Tom Tierney paperdolls, and I have many that I have made. I also collect plush squirrel dolls(squirrels are my favorite animal!)
My favorite things to cook
Cakes, cream puffs, cookies, rosettes, tortillas, pan dulce, breads, rolls, bagels, almond puff, butter cresents, spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is famous for her San Fransisco style sourdough. She sells the starter, and has her own webpage: www.northwestsourdough.com My mom is also famous for her Joko beans. My sister loves making cookies especially, and everyone in the family agrees nobody can make cookies like her! I usually am the one making the cakes, and pumpkin pies in the family. Everyone requests that I make the pumpkin pie, because they say nobody can do better! :-D

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
My family LOVES this recipe! It is one of our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes. I just made them today, and took a couple pictures to submit. When my mom makes them, they flatten out, and are more chewy, and when I make them, they are a little more cakey and puffy. I don't know why this happens, but needless to say, they are delicious either way! Thanks! Natalie

Rosettes I
This was a awesome recipe! It tasted great, and bubbled beautifully! My family loved them! They were good sprinkled with powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar. The only thing that limited the eating of too many, was that they were greasy!
