Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
This sauce was so delicious. It tastedMUCH better than any restaurants Alfredo sauce and definetely better than any jar sauce. It was so creamy and flavorful and simple. I served this with some pan-seared skinless chicken tenders breaded with parmesan bread crumbs, some fresh parsley and basil and diced tomatoes. What a wonderful meal. Thanks!!!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I am stuck in the Blizzard of 2010 in Maryland and had stocked up my fridge before the storm. Luckily I had decided to get a roaster because it came out perfect.I made this Roasted Chicken yesterday for Sunday dinner. Very simple to prepare, juicy and delicious. I seasoned mine with Rotisserie seasoning. I was even able to make delicious chicken sandwiches with the leftover meat along with some carmelized onions, cheese, sliced tomatoes and bacon bits on bread spread with mayo grilled in a pan with butter just like you would do a grilled cheese sandwich. PERFECTAMENTE!!! Thanks for sharing.

Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
All I can say is "Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipe with us all." The first time I made this rice pudding the rice was a little undercooked and was still crunchy when I bit into it. But I have now perfected it and can make it with my eyes closed. I first found this recipe about 2 months ago. Now when I make it, the first thing I do is put some water in a pot and boil the half cup of rice for about 10 minutes so that it will become a little softer before I start baking and won't have the undercooked problem again. Besides pre boiling the rice the only other change I made was cut the raisins down to about a third of a cup. And I added the raisins to the saucepan with everything else so they could plump up. I didn't stir the rice pudding every 15 minutes either. I baked it for about 40 minutes and stirred it after about 20 minutes.I have made this recipe every night for the past 3 weeks. As soon as I get home from work I start the process and by the time the rice pudding has cooled down I put the casserole dish on my lap and don't stop eating until it is finished. I do believe I am addicted to Rice Pudding now. Simply delish. :-)

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
This was an outstanding recipe. My search is over for the perfect Banana Bread Recipe. So quick and easy to make. And definently habit forming. My 2 loaves were ready in 63 minutes exactly. The only changes I made were: adding a teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg,a teaspoon or 2 of vanilla extract and one cup of each, brown and white sugar.I never added the nuts to the batter. I chopped up some pecans and mixed them with a couple tablespoons of brown sugar. I then took that mixture and sprinkled it on top of the loaves before baking. The first time I made this recipe I used some vanilla and banana extract. Today I found some french vanilla extract at the store and tried it. Can you say yummy!!! My stomache is still smiling. In the past 2 weeks I have made this recipes 3 times. And I plan on making it again tomorrow night. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Honey-Orange Marinated Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
This was a quick, easy and delicious recipe. I kept everything the same except I changed the soy sauce to 1/4 cup as suggested in the other reviews. I also added a little more honey, about 1/4 cup more.I saved about 1/3 cup of the marinade to use for basting the salmon while it was in the oven.I marinated the salmon for an hour and a half and only baked it for about 35 mins so that it wouldn't be dry. Using the extra marinade at the end for basting made the sauce thicken and it actually glazed the salmon perfectly. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Sweet Potato Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
This was a wonderful bread, very moist and flavorful. I kept the recipe the same and actually made one Sweet Potato and one loaf a combination of Sweet Potato and Pumpkin. It was delicious and both loaves were gone in one day. My husband, kids and I ate it up as soon as they came out of the oven. Some whipped butter on top and my tummy was smiling.

Peach Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
I just made 2 loaves of this bread and it was delicious. The only changes that I made was that I added an extra 1/4 cup of peaches to the batter. The 3 tsp of cinnamon was perfect. The only way you can tell that it was peach bread was by the chunks of peaches in it and not really by the taste. Maybe next time I will buy some peach extract (if there is such a thing) and add some of that for a more peachy taste. The 2 cups of sugar was good and maybe a 1/4 cup more would be better. Other than that it was perfect. Moist and not dry. I will definetly add this to my Top 10 Bread Recipe collection.

Unbaked Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
This was an "Outstanding" recipe. It will satisfy any sweet tooth. Fast and easy to make this recipe is a definite keeper, especially when it is to hot to turn the oven on in the summer and you don't want to heat up the house. I did make 2 adjustments. I cut the sugar down to 1 and a half cups because I used Nesquik Double Chocolate milk powder (the kind you use to make chocolate milk). And since the Nesquik had sugar in it all ready I didn't want to have too much of a sugar rush. The result was still sweet and chewy. I did a raisins to one of the batches that I made. I have made this recipe 3 times in the last week and I am about to make another batch now. These cookies do not last long at all.I will try adding butterscotch and toffee chips next time. Thanks!!!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies VII

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
I just made these cookies for my mother and they were excellent. I did notice that these were a bar cookie recipe but I made them into cookies instead.I read some of the other reviews before making these cookies and made sure to put my raisins in a boil of water and microwave them for 5 minutes. This made the raisins very plump and juicy. Make sure to drain them before adding them to the mixture. I used a tablespoon to scoop out the cookies and put them on the cookie sheets. I also doubled the amount of cinnamon and added a teaspoon of nutmeg to the mix.I also added 3/4 cup of chopped pecans. An outsanding cookie very soft and chewy just the way I like them.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
If I could have given this recipe 10 stars I would have. This is an excellent recipe.I didn't have a pie cruse on hand so I made a homemade graham cracker crust from a recipe I found on this site too. The only thing that I did different was a suggestion from one of the other and use half cup brown sugar and half cup white sugar. I also added a little more cinnamon. Now, my mother in law makes the best sweet potato pie in my family and everyone can never wait until the holidays come around for her sweet potato pie, but this year I will make this one and see if it can compare to hers. This is a definite keeper.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
I love this recipe. It is so easy and quick to make. I have made these biscuits about 10 times already and they taste great everytime.I never use the cream of tartar that the recipe asks for and they still come out perfect. I even add alot of garlic powder and shredded cheddar to the mix to have some garlic cheddar biscuits.I have even made these biscuits just to snack on. I will never try any other recipe but this. Thanks!!!

Pecan Crescents

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
This was an excellent recipe. My best friend used to make these cookies for my mother and I all the time. I have an easy way to mix the dough. You need to use your food processor to mix everything. First put the pecans in the food processor (I used 2 cups of pecans instead of 1 cup) Let the pecans process so that it becomes close to a paste. Then you add the softened butter, sugar, vanilla and flour. This allows the mixture to mix perfectly. Then just form the dough into little crescents which I measured by using a teaspoon. I was able to make close to 75 cookies this way. Enjoy!!!

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
I decided to make these cookies at the last minute tonight. My kids helped and all I can say is "Very Scrumptious". These were the easiest and most delectable Peanut Butter Cookies I have ever had. My husband doesn't like peanut butter but when he came home from work tonight he took one bite and said that they tasted like Gourmet cookies. After I put the criss cross on the top of the cookie, I also put a Reese's Pieces on top. I have committed this recipe to my memory and will use it often. Thanks!!!

Pumpkin Pie Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2005
This was a wonderful recipe. The bread was delicious.I actually used smaller loaf pans and made 3 loafs instead of 2. I added chopped pecans to my batter along with substituting coconut milk for the water. I also added a brown sugar struesel on the top of the bread. This recipe is a keeper.

Favorite Banana Blueberry Quick Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
My best friend and I both tried this recipe and it did not turn out the way it was supposed to. I followed every step correctly and the bread turned out to be very gooey and sticky. It actually took about an 1 hour and 30 mins for the bread to finish baking. After cooling the bread and slicing I would call this more of a sticky cake and not bread.I love blueberry banana bread and I hope to find a recipe that does work for me.
