I didn't have green onions, and added sauteed tri colored peppers. Other than that followed directions. Whole family loved it!

Juicy Peach Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
I didn't have fresh peaches, so I used a 16 oz bag of frozen sliced peaches (didn't defrost). I used half the four and sugar, and added 1/2 c oatmeal. Don't taste the topping before you bake it, unless you plan on making extra toppong... Soooo good. My husband and 4 year old don't like peaches, but loved this dessert! My 5 and 3 year olds loved it as well. I will double or triple this next time because everyone wanted more, and I barely got 2 bites of the finished product!!

So easy, quick and really good. Kids love them too. I use whatever color pepper I have on hand, sometimes sub bbq for halve the ketchup, and it can be made even without onion and pepper. This mommy of 4 really appreciates this recipe!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
great recipe. tastes traditional. i used homemade whipped cream, and didn't put it on top. i used extra cookies, but next time i won't. i like that i don't have to cook it, but it tastes like i did. definitely add the bananas when making because they give it the flavor. they turn, but that's the way its traditionally made, and tastes wonderful. using banana flavored pudding and adding the bananas when serving ruins the recipe if you want a homemade pudding. if you don't... why not just make instant banana pudding, and serve it with sliced banana and cool whip on top. that would be much faster and easier. personally if i going to go through the trouble of making something, i want it to taste homemade, even if i take a few small shortcuts like recipe does.

Amazing Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
My husband, 3 kids and I loved this sauce. I served it over 1 lb fresh cheese tortellini, salad and rotisserie chicken that I picked up from the deli. I made this meal in 20 minutes, and it couldn't be easier. So for that it deserves 5 stars. I omitted pine nuts, and boiled the tomatoes a few minutes. Next time I will try the jarred ones in oil, so that I can cut out the boiling step. I also added a couple cloves of garlic, and some dried basil. I used a mixture of mozzarella and provolone, and that worked just was well. I will also try to find Sargento's shredded mozzarella with Sun-dried Tomatoes and Basil that another reviewer used because that sounds yummy. With only a few minor easy changes it's perfect for my family. 5 stars all the way! Thanks.

Russian Tea Cakes III

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I took the advice of another reviewer to mix butter and sugar first, then add everything else (didn't sift flour though)... Next time I will just mix it all at once just like the recipe states because I think the extra step is unnecessary. These turned out perfect!! I didn't chill my dough either. My husband grew up on these, but I had never even heard of them. I am so happy that these came out exactly how he remembered them. Thanks so much!!
