I love to cook. I am the one who will be on the laptop reading recipes while watching Food Network and have the latest issue of Cook's Illustrated by my side.
My favorite things to cook
Baked Macaroni and Cheese, spinach and artichoke dip, pasta (various), beef roast, manicottis, anything really.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chinese food. Brothy soups, congee, rice, fish, tofu...
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for a party of 20 over Christmas.
My cooking tragedies
I made a dry rub for ribs and i didn't mix the dry rub enough so there was some part of the rub where it was all salt...so when i rubbed it on the ribs...it was just salt...and i didn't know until i tasted the ribs..and it was not edible! i was very embarrassed. And ribs are not cheap either.
