Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies I
I made three good changes: substituted 1/2 cup butter instead of shortening, added a pinch of cloves, added more choc. chips. Because these are very cake-like remember that they won't "spread out" like regular choc. chip cookies do. Therefore, don't drop them on the sheet too tall, but spread them out a bit if you want them to more cook evenly.

Holiday Pumpkin Bread
This was super moist! I made a couple changes that my family loved. First, I cut the sugar to 2 2/3 cup and instead of oil, put in 1 cup applesauce. We don't like raisins or nuts, so we left those out. Instead of all loaves, I saved some of the batter for mini muffins and topped each muffin (before cooking) with a few choc chips. My kids loved them!

Flatlander Chili
This was the best chili we've tried so far and very close to my mother-in-law's recipe -- which made my hubby happy. I cut out the green peppers and the cayenne; I added a can of drained black beans. Very good and thick.
