Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
My family loves this as it is a very filling meal. The quickest change for me is using 4-cheese instant mashed potatoes instead of real. I also use about 1/2 of a bag of frozen peas and carrots. I have made it with no cheese and my family has enjoyed that as well. This is a regular meal for us.

Philly Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I made a few small changes including no veggies, because I didn't have any on hand, and provolone cheese, because that is what I had in the fridge and my whole family loved it. Definitely plan to mix a large amount of these seasonings together in a shaker to have on hand all of the time.

Aunt Phyllis' Magnificent Cheese Ball

I made this as directed. It tasted like many other cheese balls I have had, which is okay, and tasted best the day after I made it.

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
Wasn't sure what to expect of this but it was good, especially with 2 tablespoons of the mix per cup. I've noticed that on some of the Buttered Rum reviews people mentioned the "butter" floating on top. Because butter is dairy based it shouldn't do this, make sure you don't replace it with margarine- oil based. Also, I doubled the recipe and put it in a plastic gallon ice cream container, it fit perfectly. Make sure you don't put it in a chest type deep freeze while it hardens though. My kids tipped it and dumped half in the full freezer as the seal didn't hold and I didn't notice until 6 hours later, what a mess.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I doubled the recipe, added garlic & herbs seasoning, only used parmesan and it turned out great. My whole family loved it inlcuding my 7 year old picky eater. It was also very easy. I mixed a little sauce in the eggs before adding them to the pan, but it still didn't have the smooth consistency we are used to from a jar.

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
I added 1/2 package of Itallian dressing as some reviews suggested. My faily voted this as a keeper. French dips are supposed to be salty and this recipe turned out perfect!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
Well, I just made this the way the directions say, it is still hot but I couldn't wait to try it- YUM. It doesn't seem as sweet as some of the other banana breads I've tried, and it may be sweeter after it cools, but that changes with everyone's personal taste. My kids love it, I love it, I don't know if there will be any left for my husband to try when he gets home, it's that good.
