About this Cook
I lead a very busy lifestyle. I'm a Flight Attendant for a major Airline(see A&E), do a TON of sandsports during the winter, and watersports during the summer.
My favorite things to cook
We LOVE comfort food, but really enjoy a light and healthy fare, so I love striking a balance between the two that allows the best of both worlds.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I had NO idea what a broiler was for until I was 20. God love my mother, but she totally blew the myth that all French women could cook! I didn't learn how to cook when I was growing up, which is why I love this website. It is like having THOUSANDS of Aunts and Uncles in my kitchen ready with advice!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime my Family comes over and is impressed by what I am cooking! Like, when I invite my brother and his family over for Prime Rib like it's an every day occurance!!! :))
My cooking tragedies
Serving my Family georgeous fried chicken on the outside, but completely RAW chicken on the inside! Okay! I was ONLY 21, but I'm STILL traumatized!

Pumpkin Gingerbread
I've been making this recipe for a couple of years now, but kept forgetting to rate it. It is the perfect balance of spices and always moist. The best part is the way it makes the house smell while it baking! Thanks so much for sharing.

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup
This was so declicious and so easy to make. I did what a couple of others suggested, used sweet potato and doubled the spices (except the cayenne). I forgot the salt and pepper, but didn't really need it since there was so many other flavors going on. Awesome recipe! Thanks for sharing!
