I was born and raised in northern California and made the move to Canada to be closer to my sweetheart. We were married March 2006, and we grain farm in northwestern Alberta. I love to bake, but before I logged on to allrecipes.com, I couldn't. I like making lasagnas and basically anything spicy because my husband loves my spicy food. I actually don't come from a family that has many cooking traditions. The only thing I can relate is when my grandma and I used to make no-bake cookies together. I can bake cookies now! I can't make meringue worth a darn. It frustrates me to no end, and now I refuse to make it. Cool whip is my next choice if I ever need meringue.
