About this Cook
I'm a 25 year old working wife, and I've been cooking since I was a kid. Both my parents worked full time, so my brothers and I made dinner for ourselves a lot,so I got some practice early. I pride myself on my cooking ability, and have come a long way since my Hanburger Helper days. My husband doesn't cook much, so I'm always making dinner for him and his friends, especially around college football season. People are always asking me for recipes and ideas, even my parents, and they've been at this twice as long as me! With a busy schedule I'm always looking to find simple yet healty and tastey week night meals.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook it all. I'm part Italian, so it shows in my dishes. I especially love to make lasagna(people say that it's better than my mom's, but we don't tell her). I also like to make a special version of macaroni and cheese, and I have a mean brownie recipe. I'm always willing to try new recipes, and that's why I love coming here!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family makes cannolis every year around Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I make Thanksgiving dinner for my in-laws every year, and they always rave about it. They're started calling me Martha Stewart. I also make great lasagna and chili.
My cooking tragedies
I make horrible pancakes, and I always seem to burn muffins.

New Orleans Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie
The taste of this pie is amazing. I made it to the exact recipe, and it came out a bit oily for some reason. I also had to bake my pie for an hour and 20 minutes before it set. I might only use 3/4 cup chocolate chips next time as they seemed overpowering, and add a bit more whiskey as I could barely taste it. I will definitely make this again with a few minor changes.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I
Very good and extremely simple. This earned a spot in my dinner rotation.

Mini Meatloaves
These were great! Super easy to put together, and they tasted wonderful. They are the perfect size for making individual freezer meals too. I will be making these again for sure.
