Listy II
My grandmother (babka) made these, but called them "Milosty" (pronounced Meel-o-stee). She would wrap the dough in waxed paper and then refrigerate for several hours before rolling. Once rolled thin, she would cut the dough into strips instead of triangles, then fry 3 strips together in lard (not canola oil) to make interesting shapes. I love the powdered sugar on top! A big hit at family gatherings. These are seriously good!!

Czech Kolache
I loved it.. My grandmother (babka) used to make these, but she omitted the raisins and used a single pitted cherry instead.. DELICIOUS!

Yorkshire Pudding
I just tried this recipe and it was fantastic.. I altered slightly, using 1/2 the H2o recommended, subbing 1/4 c butter and 1/4 c oil for the fat (I like to save the drippings for gravy) and using whole milk. It puffed out nicely with a crisp crust that is a pleasure to serve to company. The most important step to good Yorkies is to heat the fat first!!
