Made this for 16 for the family Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone loved it and demanded it become tradition, and even my cousin (a chef in a top resturant) thought it was a wonderful soup. I did not have a food processor or blender, so the soup was not smooth, but but the onions had a good texture so I do not think I will puree it in the future. For me, I thought it could have used more kick, and next time I think I'll be testing out fresh ginger and pepper and perhaps a stronger cinnamon. The croutons were perfect, and I also added slightly less cream and whipped some for people to add on top. Overall, a great recipe...but basic enough to play with it and make it your own.
