About this Cook
I am married and have two sons ages 12 & 15. I own a small catering business that allows me to keep busy yet allow time to raise my boys. My mother was the worst cook & I vowed I'd never make my family eat meals like I was raised on. I've not had any professional training, just many hours of trial & error. I'm a firm believer that if you want something bad enough, you can accomplish it. I've done just that.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. It's such a high to pull a masterpiece out of the oven and present a meal to my clients that receives not only praise but often times hugs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any traditions because my entire family consists of just the four of us. Myself & 3 guys, they're not much into traditions.
My cooking triumphs
My sons & I prepared a Prime Rib dinner for 175 people. My sons never cease to amaze me. It was a lot of work for just the three of us, but we accomplished it and received loads of praise on the meal.
My cooking tragedies
I've given up on meringue. Just can't get it. Many years ago, I was determined to make my boyfriend his favorite pie. Lemon Meringue. I must have had at least 20 of them sitting around my apartment. Not a single one turned out, now I'm intimidated and can't seem to overcome it.

Yakitori Chicken
My 12 yr old son prepared this last evening for a country report presentation for his classmates & parents. He had no problems following the recipe & everyone enjoyed it alot.

Chicken and Potato Soup
I love preparing soup from scratch. This is by far the very best basic recipe I've ever made! If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I boiled 2 whole chickens then picked it from the bone, I added a bag of mixed frozen vegies (not canned), 1 can cream of chicken soup & 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. My clients loved it & my family said, "This is GREAT!" This is definately a keeper.

Sesame Tilapia
I served this to 25 people & it was a general consensus... it's ok. Nothing wonderful, not something they would want to serve if they were hosting a dinner party. Probably won't make this again.
