Perfect pie! I followed the recipe exactly and felt the spices were perfect (for my taste), I used Fuji and Red Delicious apples, and didn't need to drain any juice out after cooking. I did sprinkle about 1 Tbsp of flour into the pie crust as some had suggested, and that worked out well. I made a crust posted as 'Pie Crust I" which I've used before and love, it's very flaky and just great. I also brushed the crust with an egg wash to give it a nice golden look. Next time though, I will increase the pie recipe by 1/2 to make a thicker pie (this made a 9" pie that was a little over 1" thick). This one is a keeper! Love it! Thank you Dolores.
