About this Cook
I've been cooking since I was little with my mom. I even got my first cook book when I was about 5...still have it, still use it! Within the past few years, I've gotten a lot more into cooking and absolutely love it! I now have a million and a half recipes, dozens of cookbooks, and a lot of great cooking sites bookmarked online so I'm never without something to cook.
My favorite things to cook
When I was younger, baking was my favorite thing to do. Now that I'm older, I enjoy making actual meals. I love Thai, Italian, any pasta dish, and...well, just about everything and anything! (Except seafood...)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking with my mom around the holidays. I hope to be good as she is someday!
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean Beef Stroganoff!! =) And, I have a pretty good "Peanut Butter Cup" Cake that I make on birthdays!
My cooking tragedies
There was this one pie I tried to make once...it never quite thickened and instead turned into a soupy mess!

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies
These were good cookies! Mine came out nice and soft while retaining a good chew around the edges. While they were a bit sweet, I used darker chocolate that I cut into bigger chunks and that offset the sweetness well. I will use this recipe again.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream
Yummy! This has some of my favorite ingredients in it so I had to try it. It was a great weekday dinner since it was ready fast with little prepping. Thanks for posting - this is a keeper!

Tacos in Pasta Shells
Loved this! Pasta AND the flavor and fixins of tacos in one recipe?...SOLD! I used salsa instead of the taco sauce and, as suggested, a taco seasoning instead of the spices but mostly kept the recipe the same. I topped with lettuce, chopped tomato, olives, and sour cream - perfecto! Thanks for posting. =)
