This was a last minute put together appetizer. Wow, the whole family inhaled this mixture in 1/2 hour. I did not even have cilantro to add- so I will make sure to have that on hand next time I make it. Also, I chopped my avocado too large- smaller is better. Very tasty and satisfying. Everyone was using it to put on their burgers and chicken after they had dipped into it with the chips. I will make it one of my basic recipes.

We had 20 people for Thanksgiving dinner. NO ONE but my oldest daughter and I eat squash-however, decided to make this. I was intrigued by the cheese - I changed the saltine to Panko bread crumbs and also added a layer of crushed pecans to the topping. The casserole was just about empty! so much for just the two of us eating it. Thank you for another wonderful Holiday favorite!

I made the regular boring green bean recipe for Thanksgiving last year I had made this particular one and FORGOT about it until last minute- so took the regular boring green bean and added the cheese at last minute-it was very good- however, this Christmas we are going with the Tasty Green Bean Casserole which got rave reviews last year. It is in my permanent recipe box now!
