Mediterranean Stuffed Swordfish

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
From a Non "fish" person, we all loved it. I did what everybody recommended and put the Feta with the veggies. I didn't have spinach in my garden.I used Fresh chard from my garden and then even added some sundried tomatoes to the sauce along with chopped mushrooms, all cooked together. With the leftover, I served it in a dish to put on top of fish. I am in shock that the whole family LOVED it! Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I agree with everyone that this was great. I followed the recommendation of marinading the Halibut in Italian dressing...didn't have any and used Caesar dressing! Excellent. Then I did use the zucchini and followed the recipe, but when I added the tomatoes and fresh basil, I also added some greek olives. My husband said it was "restaurant" quality!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
I just don't get all the rave reviews! I consider myself a good, creative cook, but this was boring if you followed the recipe! Everyone had to make changes to make it "good"! I liked the concept and will fiddle with it myself, but as is, I'd say mediocre at best. Sorry!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
Easy, delicious and I understand the high review marks. I did what everybody else suggested and added some iceberg, part of a roasted Costco chicken that I cut into pieces, and didn't use all the dressing. Plus, I added the Feta cheese like other people had suggested. It's a Yummmmmmmmmmm recipe!

Dijon Crusted Halibut

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
Excelllent and easy! My favorite way of cooking! I didn't even add salt as I thought there was enough in the parmesan. There is a little time in preparation and remember, just put the toppping on the top of the fist..

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Great easy recipe! We did not put them on the grill for the second cooking, but we cooked them in a jelly roll pan with tin foil underneath the ribs at 350 for like 30 minutes and they were tender, and absolutey wonderful! I have to send my friend the recipe right now!

Orange Drop Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
I have been baking alot for the holidays, searching for a new recipe to give...This one will not be on my list next year! I should have listened to the other people. I did add extra OJ to the icing, and to the batter, but neither had an orange flavor. I added a little extra flour so that they wouldn't flatten out. They were just an O.K. cookie. Not one to add to my personal cookie file!

Candy Cane Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
I used the sil pad so that I wouldn't have sticking. I did add more sugar and it was a pain to chop the candy cane and I guess all and all, I would say these cookies were not worth the effort. if they were wonderful, I would make them again, but I am deleting this from my personal recipe box

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
SOOOOO easy, yet SOOOOOO Good! If you want it a little thicker, use an 8" cake pan. I didn't change a thing! No need to! I used it for 4th of July. I put a white frosting on it, blueberries in the left corner for the Stars and red rasberries crosswise for the stripes. Adorable, and delish!

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
I thought this was average at best. I definitely would not make it again. I thought I wanted a change from my Mom's bundt cake, but this surely didn't do it. It was dense, heavy, and small, like maybe they should have put in 1 tbs of baking powder. It was a tiny, short bundt cake.

Lobster Rolls

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
We were at an Asian Mkt in So Cal and they had a special for the nite...kingsize,5 LB. LIVE, lobsters $5.99 a pound... They would steam it for us. It was a done deal! We already had dinner, so I decided to look on this site for something for tomorrow and low and behold, I found this recipe! IT WAS FABULOUS! I was thrilled we even had a little leftover for the next day. I didn't alter a thing. Thanks for the great recipe.

EXCELLENT, DELICIOUS AND EASY! We liked it just the way it was written. Loved having only 2 pots...one for the shrimp and veggies and the other for the pasta. I think I would even make it for company! This is a keeper!

Baked Whole Cauliflower

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
I am not a vegetable lover, but this is really delicious. I am making it for the second time, but the first time I didn't have it cooked through, so when I baked it, the cauliflower was a bit hard. This time I did like the recipe said, and I steamed it first

Watermelon Summer Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2007
Oh my! What a great combination. I did use Kalamata olives, which I am glad I did, and I cut down on the fresh mint (per everyone's advice) and this was a winner! A real surprise. I was leary of trying it, but what the heck! I liked every ingredient, so altogether they meld and make a wonderful, interesting salad!

Apricot Noodle Kugel

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2006
I don't think I have ever been asked by as many people as I was for this Kugel recipe! It was THE best, but I did play with the recipe a bit. I used a container of Pineapple cottage cheese instead of the cream cheese, then I added one more egg and a medium can of crushed pineapple and it's juice. It was fabulous! I hope I can do it again and make it as good!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
I don't get what all the hoopla is about these cookies. Yes, they were all right, but not fabulous! The ABC chocolate chip cookie, I think, are SOFTER, and better. Everybody seemed to have to adjust this recipe, including me! It would have lacked taste if I hadn't added a dash of salt, a TBS of vanilla and more brown sugar. I think there are much better recipes than this one.

Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
If you are a beginner, this recipe isn't for you. The recipe is good if you know how to play Doctor...add additional flour, or 1 less egg. The recipe ingredients are just not right. You would definitely have to add flour or your cookie batter is almost soupy. If you know how to add, then it's a good recipe. there has to be a better recipe around for a fabulous PB cookie!
